Apolo cantador de feira: a mitopoética religiosa na obra “Os Peãs”

Este trabalho analisa a formação da mitopoética religiosa na trilogia Os Peãs do poeta cearense Gerardo Mello Mourão (1917-2007). A trilogia é formada pelos seguintes volumes: O País dos Mourões (1963), Peripécias de Gerardo (1972) e Rastro de Apolo (1977). Com base em autores como Walter Burkert, Marcel Detienne e Walter Otto, discute as relações entre mito, religião e poesia na Grécia Antiga. Explica, ainda, a retomada do projeto mitopoético pelos literatos do primeiro Romantismo Alemão e sua influência na obra gerardiana. Por meio da mitocrítica de Gilbert Durand, classifica os mitologemas diretivos que compõem o léxico imaginário do tríptico. Considerando forma e conteúdo, descreve a importância da herança dos cantadores populares, da técnica de bricolagem da poesia moderna e da dicção épica dentro do poema. Ademais, expõe excertos do Hino Homérico a Apolo e da Ilíada para caracterizar a figura de Apolo em suas manifestações gregas e enumera as transformações filosóficas e míticas surgidas com a difusão do termo apolíneo. Por fim, investiga os paralelos que Gerardo Mello Mourão traça entre o nascimento de Jesus e o nascimento de Apolo, bem como a encarnação mitopoética de Apolo no sertão do Ceará.

Apollo fair singer: religious mythopoetics in the book "Os Peãs"

This work analises the formation of the religious mythopoetics in the trilogy Os Peãs by Ceará's poet Gerard Mello Mourão (1917-2007). The trilogy consists of the volumes: O País dos Mourões (1963), Peripécias de Gerardo (1972) and Rastro de Apolo (1977). Based on authors such as Walter Burkert, Marcel Detienne e Walter Otto, this work discusses the relations betweenmyth, religion and poetry in Ancient Greece. It then explains the resumption of the mythopoetic project in the literati of the first German Romanticism and its influence on Mourão's work. Employing Gilbert Durand's mythocritique, it proceeds to classify the directive mythologems that make up the imaginary lexicon of the triptych. Then, taking both form and content into consideration, it describes the role played by folk singers' heritage and by the bricolage technique of modern poetry as well as the epic diction in poem. Furthermore, it shows some excerpts from the Homeric Hymn to Apollo and also from the Iliad to characterise the figure of Apollo in its Greek manifestations and thus to enumerate the mythical and philosophical transformations that came about with the diffusion of the term “Apollonian”. Finally, it investigates the parallels that Gerardo Mello Mourão traces between the birth of Jesus and the birth of Apollo, as well as the mythopoetical incarnation of Apollo in Ceará's hinterlands (sertão).
