Jornal Nacional, um ator político em cena – Do impeachment de Dilma Rousseff à eleição de Jair Bolsonaro: as bases da construção da narrativa jornalística que legitimou processos políticos na recente história brasileira

O discurso de informação ressignifica acontecimentos no processo de produção da notícia e de construção de uma narrativa jornalística. Tomando o discurso como encontro entre a linguagem e a ideologia e buscando compreender o funcionamento do discurso de informação, o objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar as bases da construção da narrativa jornalística levada ao telespectador pelo Jornal Nacional (JN), o mais importante telejornal da Rede Globo de Televisão, num período histórico que contempla do processo de impeachment da ex-presidenta Dilma Rousseff à eleição e posse de Jair Bolsonaro como presidente da República. As unidades de análise foram as reportagens e matérias das edições diárias do jornal nesse período relatado. Para empreender a análise num período histórico tão extenso, procedemos à segmentação em Momentos Discursivos, estabelecendo um recorte temporal a partir de momentos históricos e acontecimentos mais relevantes retratados nas edições diárias do JN, e a partir desse recorte, observamos, nas reportagens e matérias, as estratégias discursivas utilizadas para a composição das notícias, bem como as variações das abordagens de temas semelhantes (inflação, por exemplo) em momentos históricos e temporais distintos. Para o desenvolvimento deste trabalho, procuramos compreender o papel das macrocategorias poder e ideologia no funcionamento de uma rede estável de comunicação, bem como os modos de utilização categorias como enquadramento, silenciamento, produção de consenso e viés na estruturação dessa narrativa jornalística. Buscamos suporte teórico em autores como Michel Pêcheux, Eni Orlandi, Patrick Charaudeau, Noam Chomsky, John Thompson, Luís G. Motta, Pierre Bourdieu, entre outros, para embasar a análise. Com o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa, foi possível concluir que a notícia é um produto bem construído e que o Jornal Nacional desempenha um relevante papel no cenário sociopolítico do país, levando aos telespectadores, a partir da narrativa veiculada pelas notícias diárias, um conjunto de valores, representações e crenças, de modo não transparente e não visível.

Jornal Nacional, a political actor on stage – From Dilma Rousseff's impeachment to the election of Jair Bolsonaro: the foundations of journalistic narrative that legitimized political processes in Brazilian history

The information discourse resembles events in the process of news production and the construction of a journalistic narrative. Considering discourse as an encounter between language and ideology and seeking to understand how the discourse of information works, the objective of this research is to analyze the bases of the construction of journalistic narrative brought to the viewer by the Jornal Nacional (JN), the most important television news network of the Globo Television Network, in a historical period that includes the process of impeachment of former President Dilma Rousseff to the election and inauguration of Jair Bolsonaro as Brazil’s president. The units of analysis were the reports and articles of the daily editions of the newspaper in this reported period. To undertake the analysis in such a long historical period, we segmented the Discursive Moments, establishing a temporal cut-off from the most relevant historical moments and events portrayed in the daily editions of JN, and from this cut-off, we observed, in the reports and articles, the discursive strategies used for the composition of the news, as well as the variations in the approaches to similar themes at different historical and temporal moments. For the development of this work, we seek to understand the role of macro-categories power and ideology in the functioning of a stable communication network, as well as the modes of use categories such as framing, silencing, consensus production, and bias in the structuring of this journalistic narrative. We seek theoretical support from authors such as Michel Pêcheux, Eni Orlandi, Patrick Charaudeau, Noam Chomsky, John Thompson, Luís G. Motta, Pierre Bourdieu, among others, to support the analysis. With the development of this research, it was possible to conclude that the news is a well-constructed product and that Jornal Nacional plays a relevant role in the socio-political scenario of the country, bringing to viewers, from the narrative conveyed by the daily news, a set of values, representations, and beliefs, in a non-transparent and non-visible way.
