OS ARTEFATOS CULTURAIS SURDO NOS CURRÍCULOS DE GRADUAÇÃO DO TRADUTOR E INTÉRPRETE DE LÍNGUA DE SINAIS/LÍNGUA PORTUGUESA

A presente tese teve por objetivo identificar artefatos culturais presentes nas propostas curriculares dos cursos que formam os tradutores e intérpretes de Libras/Língua Portuguesa (TILS) nas instituições de ensino superior públicas e propor conteúdo de estudo para a formação desses profissionais que venha contribuir para a construção de saberes em torno dos artefatos culturais. Para isso, ficou definido que os Projetos Político-Pedagógicos (PPP) das instituições que oferecem o curso de formação na modalidade presencial seriam o objeto de leitura e análise deste estudo. Na leitura dos PPP, selecionamos três categorias para análise: objetivos, metodologia e matriz curricular. A hipótese foi de que os artefatos culturais percorrem, de alguma forma, a formação dos TILS. Tomamos como base a análise de conteúdo e a pesquisa documental. Este estudo caminhou para uma interpelação também qualitativa, com a realização uma entrevista semi-estruturada com profissionais surdos, que colaboraram para a identificação dos artefatos culturais nos currículos dos cursos, a apresentação de mais um artefato cultural e a proposta de inclusão de um tema de estudo nos currículos de formação dos TILS que os leve a compreender que o processo de tradução e interpretação vem imbuído de particularidades culturais relevantes para o entendimento por parte do surdo do que está sendo traduzido e/ou interpretado.

The purpose of this thesis was to identify cultural artifacts present in the curricular proposals of the courses that train Libras/Portuguese Language (TILS) translators and interpreters in public higher education institutions and to propose study content for the training of these professionals that will contribute to the construction of knowledge around cultural artifacts. For this, it was defined that the Political-Pedagogical Projects (PPP) of the institutions that offer the training course in the face-to-face modality would be the object of reading and analyzing this study. In reading the PPP, we selected three categories for analysis: objectives, methodology and curriculum matrix. The hypothesis was that cultural artifacts go through the formation of TILS in some way. We take as a basis the content analysis and documentary research. This study led to a qualitative interpellation, with a semi-structured interview with deaf professionals, who collaborated for the identification of cultural artifacts in the curricula of the courses, the presentation of another cultural artifact and the proposal to include a theme of study in the training curricula of TILS that leads them to understand that the process of translation and interpretation has been imbued with cultural particularities relevant to the understanding by the deaf of what is being translated and/or interpreted.
